I am so sorry to hear of Max’s passing. I was justblooking him up to see what he’s been up to recently. I was a friend of his at Queen’s university. He was far more interesting than most of the other people around.. .and yeah….he had a great smile, didn’t he? and he was far too young to pass. I’ll never forget the time he took a picture of my face and changed it into something quite..well…something else…. Rest in peace Max.

Dearest Max with the Megawatt Smile: your indelible spirit became seared into my mind & heart when you hosted a lobster feast at your place many nights ago. You - who didn't care much for the crustacean -gently observed, never judged and graciously encouraged us gluttons all evening (& morning?) long. I think you even chipped into the pool that caused me and Nelson to drink shots of leftover clarified butter. We made $25 that night but I definitely walked away far richer knowing you.

Back in high school Max supplied some music to our overnight Panther Pride fundraiser. He told me to check out a CD. It was Jamiroquai’s Traveling Without Moving. Brought it home and was instantly hooked. Met up with Max in the school hallway a few days later. Told him I loved the CD and tried to return it to him. Since I loved it so much he told me to keep it. I was so happy! Jamiroquai to this day is still my favorite artist and throughout the years , every time I listen to him , I’ve thought of and will continue to think of Max!

I was heartbroken to hear of Max's passing. I remember him as the little boy I would babysit, along with Leah. He always had the sweetest twinkle in his eye and the biggest smile. I'm glad to hear the stories of how he never lost that as he grew up. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Rest in peace, Max

After unpacking my bag on my first day at Queens University in Kingston Ontario, I hit the hallway of the all-boys dorm in Leonard Hall. The loud music from Max’s room lured me to the other end of the hall, where I’d spend much of first year. Max greeted me, like everyone, with a smile, a beverage, and an interesting fact. We were friends instantly and I’ll never forgot all the great times and things we learned from each other. (Max pictures with another good friend Drew Pearson outside our apt at 99 DivisionSt.)
