Maurice Villasseau Joseph

Maurice Villasseau Joseph was born on April 7th, 1951 in Anse-Rouge, Haiti, and he was called home to paradise on August 23rd, 2022.

Maurice’s spirit will live on through his family, loved ones, and those who were able to experience his soul. He lived a life full of experiences and accomplishments. He knew he was capable of achieving anything he put his mind to, and so, he traveled and explored many parts of this world. He immigrated to the United States with the support of his family, and later enlisted in the United States Armed Forces. After serving in the Army for 11 years, he retired and earned a Juris Doctor degree. Maurice took pride in showing his children that they were capable of achieving anything they desired. Wherever he went and wherever his next adventure lead him, he always walked with the unconditional love and constant support of his siblings:Frantz, Luckner, Irmine, Michelle, Hernsly, Marie Paul, Monge, Henex, Franteisse and Marc-Pierre.

After many years of working and keeping busy, Maurice moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2020 to enjoy retirement. During his retirement, he sat still and enjoyed the tranquility of living near the ocean as he once did in Anse-Rouge. He lived a full life and shared many beautiful moments with those closest to him. He is survived by his wife Claudette; his children: Anthony, Ella, Michaelle, Bredio, and Enrique; and his siblings: Luckner, Irmine, Hernsley, Marie Paul, Monge, Henex, and Franteisse. His infectious smile, laughter, and joy will live on.
