REMEMBER: Hey Bud, it's your Pops, Grandpa Rick, REMEMBER? It's been a tough ride Bud. Things haven't turned out like I wished. First I lost your Grandmother, then I lost my brother, and now I have lost you! I was lucky having your Grandmother Judy as my best friend for fifty years. I was lucky having my brother Bobby in my life for seventy-five years. I was lucky to have had you in my life for thirty-eight years. All of these years passed by like a single heart beat. I am very fortunate that I REMEMBER. As I struggle with life today, my memories are the single thing that I have to hold the fragments of life together. I REMEMBER the first time I saw you, you were kinda cute, even though you resembled a very tiny wrinkled old man. Fortunately, you grew a little and soon almost appeared somewhat normal. I REMEMBER the first time I changed your dirty diaper. What a surprise. As I completed the task, you peed all over me and I had to repeat the chore. I REMEMBER and think you did. As I run our lives memories over and over in my head, I feel sad that I don't get to make new ones. I'm blessed with a head full of remarkable thoughts of you, your Grandmother, and my brother Bobby. So REMEMBER Matthew, you are a huge part of my life and I love you deeply, and will miss you. REMEMBER, I will see you soon!

I wish there was something I could say that would make the hole in your heart smaller..the day I got to meet him I remember alot of laughter throughout the house..I would say to hold onto those special moments, the moments you laughed together, had a good meal together, shared unforgettable moments in time..hold onto those in days of grief..share the moments of pride...you are a strong family and I pray that God's strength is with you in abundance today..May the peace of God that passes all understanding be felt all around you..I.hope to see you soon for hugs for you and Kim..Love you both always, Sharon

Matthew there is so much to say…you were a friend and like a son to me. I am so happy I had the opportunity to be a part of your life You were such an incredibly genuine, smart, honorable, loyal and funny guy. You would take up for a fight for anyone even if you didn’t know them. We had many talks over the years about life and you could make me laugh so hard my sides ached! You were truly a unique person and I couldn’t be more happy to have been part of your life and to be your “other mom”. I remember when I used to take you to work in rush hour traffic on 35W and you said I drove to slow and needed to keep changing lanes and be daring. You said to get up in the cars tail end and punch it and switch lanes really fast. I was scared to death and thought you were crazy! I told you I was too old for that kind of driving and I also wanted to live. The first time I did it was because you YELLED “NOW”! That scared me and I did what you said. You were laughing and hollering, “Hell Yeah”! You continued to coach me and as scared as I was you had a way of getting me to do it. You yelling at me “NOW”, “PUNCH IT” or whatever startled me in the beginning and I would just do it. You would laughed and would get so excited. One day I told you I couldn’t do that anymore because I didn’t want to die or hurt anyone else! I also didn’t want your dad to be mad or scared at/for either of us! My point is that you were crazy but always full of life and adventure. Matthew, you were one of the best men I have ever known. You were so much like your dad and his great qualities. You were loving, loyal, funny and fiercely protective of those you loved. You are so missed by SO many and loved so very much. Life will never be the same, especially for your dad. He loved and still loves you more than you could ever know. You used to tell me “Kim, please take care of my dad” and I would always tell you I would. I will always be here with and for him…I promise you that as always. He will never be alone. It has been such an honor to be your “other mom”, Matt. There is a hole in my heart that will be filled by the good memories and laughter. It’s time to sleep with only peaceful dreams…rest now. Love always, Kim
