Mary Ann Chavez, age 69 a resident of Espanola, NM passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, June 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Maggie Chavez. She is survived by her sons, Jerome Chavez of Grand Canyon, Arizona and Juan Carlos Scarborough (Anna) of Albuquerque, NM; Grandchildren, Jerome Chavez, Jr of Espanola, NM and Michael-Angelo Martinez-Chavez of Phoenix, Arizona; Great Grandchild, Acelynn Garcia-Chavez of Verlarde, NM; Brothers, Jerry (Jeri) Chavez of Leadville, Colorado, Tibo Chavez of Albuquerque, NM and David (Nadine) Chavez of Albuquerque, NM. Special thanks to: Jean Adams of Ohkay Owingeh, NM, Marian and Phil Diaz of Espanola, NM, "Los Chilos" of Espanola, NM and Donnie Lopez of Espanola, NM. Per Mary Ann's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services.

Jerome, Carlos and Family's. Although I know that no words can ease the loss you feel, just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. So sorry to hear about your mother (sister) passing. She was a wonderful person. I kept my promise. Didn't cry even thou It was hard to do. My tears that were held back are fill with beautiful memories of your mother (sister) knowing that she is no longer suffering. Amen
