27 de septiembre de 1929 - 26 de febrero de 2022
Marianna T. Klein, 92, of Hague, NY, Jackson Heights, NY (and in recent years, Sykesville, MD), passed away on Feb 26, 2022. She died peacefully in her sleep after a brief bout with cancer, with her daughter, Christine, at her side. She was born in Keil, Germany, and lived in Jackson Heights most of her life. She loved to tell the story of how she came to the US from Germany as a baby, on a boat with her mother who spoke only German, to meet her father in New York, where he had been living for several years, waiting for them to be able to join him.
Marianna adored children and worked as a dedicated nursery school teacher's aid for close to 40 years in New York City. She was a summer residence of Hague for over 50 years, a long-standing, dedicated member of Community Methodist Church and the Hague Baptist Church, a voracious reader, a lover of all things Lake George, and an avid West Point Army Football fan. She loved to travel, had a large circle of friends whom she treasured, and she remained a kind-hearted, optimist to the end.
Marianna will be remembered as a loving mother, devoted wife, and proud grandmother of four. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur A. Klein, Jr. in 2019, to whom she was married for 61 years. They met as members of the Community Methodist Church Youth Fellowship in Jackson Heights, NY.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Christine Quinn (John) and Susan Stone (Bruce), and her grandchildren BJ Stone (Kate), Amy Rossi (Nick), Erik Quinn (Courtney), and Kelsey Quinn (Jeffrey Mercedes). She will be buried at Valley View Cemetery in Hague, NY with her husband Art.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Hague Baptist Church or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

I'll always remember Marianna as one of the sweetest Lake mom's. Whenever I saw her she would tease me about something, or ask after my parents or grandparents, or ask me about my life. Always interested in others. Her clear joy of life was always evident and she was so proud of her children and grandchildren. And there was never a more devoted wife and mother. We've lost one of the great ones. My heart goes out to Chris, Susie, and their families.

Marianna and Art were close friends with my parents. 70 years of adventures. They travelled together and were frequent guests to my dairy farm in the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont. NYC to cows in VT!!! For many Thanksgivings we enjoyed chocolate cakes and pies from NYC. Such a treat! Why eat apple pie when NYC chocolate arrived! Snow, sleet and adventures. Marianna once tried on leather pants at a Magog Canada store! Both she and Art would jump into the car for any adventure! So many good stories to remember! Rest In Peace together in heaven.

Mrs. Klein was my first Sunday School teacher when I was in kindergarten. This means she had the patience of a saint! I remember her beautiful smile, hearty laughter, and the twinkle in her eyes when she did either. She was the calm in a storm and poured love into her daughters and family. I will never forget the love and respect Mr. & Mrs. Klein had for each other, they were generous spirits…and marvelous dancers! Christine, my heart is with you, Sue and your families. I know your Mom’s love surrounds you and fills your spirit with memories that will continue to give you the gift of peaceful solace during this time of thoughtful transition. I send love to you and I will always be thankful to your Mom for her grace, faith, and grateful heart.
