One rarely looks over the rainbow of what life will be like beyond the life of closest loved ones. Margaret was the best sister anyone could experience and her sudden death has left deeply heartfelt loss. Her absence is the only presence. I am supremely grateful however for her generous love for me. The memory of her caring, gentle patience and guidance, and deep sharing along with the joy of shared sense of humour will always be sustaining. Thank you John for your unconditional love for Margaret, always so evident. Wrapping you and all the members of the Piper family in my love and prayers at this time when words fall short.

Margaret and John have been wonderful friends to our family. For a few years we were neighbours, and during those years I struggled with severe post-natal depression while caring for three children under 5. Margaret realised what was happening and offered help and support. Both Margaret and John welcomed my children into their home with open minds and hearts. I will never forget their kindness. I'll miss seeing you out walking Benny, Margaret, when we'd stop for a chat about life, the universe, and everything. I'll miss you, my friend.

I too enjoyed the wonderful warmth of the Piper family household during my teenage years and remember the smile and playfulness of Margie and see the deep legacy of the 4 Piper kids and subsequent grandkids. I am greatly challenged as a parent myself of the enourmous kindness and gentleness that Maragert and John have lived their lives and built their family on. What a life well lived. All my love to the Piper clan, especially to John (who I am sure is now searching for the car keys which I hear Margie had put in a safe place!)

I have many lovely memories of Margaret. She made a beautiful cake for my 21st birthday. I was able to see her in action at Allowah with dog Toby. I also enjoyed many theatre shows with her. She was always interested and interesting. Margaret's was a life well lived. Jen Fleming
