¿Cómo conociste a MahoganyMo?
I met her during my 4th grades or 3rd grade year when I used to be in the car loop at sunblaze I remember whenever I used to go to her car line spot she used to say “Hi friend how is your day” I always said good and asked how she was doing she always said good back to me and smiled I never knew her name but I knew we were friends then and that was all that mattered to me when I had found out what happened I brought a note to the school memorial area I think it was during 5th grade mid year my memories are fuzzy I cried while also writing the note knowing that I lost one of my friends… My name is Jaylen.R

My friend Mahogany, Selfless, caring, funny, even-keeled, forgiving, always present. Those are just a few words to describe her character. What I can't put into words is the way she made you feel when you were around her or the way she so effortlessly supported you with her actions and not just words. It's like she had the ability to morph into the friend you needed at the moment or the season. Essentially, she was just BLESSED with the ability to be her TRUE self, ALWAYS. So many ppl can attest to the way she just knew what to say or what to do or the way she made you just burst into a real good gut-busting laugh on the fly. She was so modest and never wanted anyone to fuss or worry about her. She managed to get through adversity with the same exact grace she would exhibit during joyous moments. It was like she was a superhero. Naturally, that's what we think when we see someone like Mahogany pushing through life the way she did. But what I've learned from her passing is that we aren't superheroes. We're humans. We feel, we love, we laugh, we care, we endure pain and we need to be checked on and poured into even when we think we can handle things on our own. Mahogany, you were a vessel of God; a true angel on earth. It's no surprise that everyone that crossed paths with you expressed the same sentiments. You made such a positive impact on the lives of so many people, especially your students. I thank Him for your life and for allowing us to be in each other's lives to build a beautiful friendship. I've learned to be a better friend because of you. I love you and will miss you immensely. 💛

I am deeply saddened by this news, Mahogany was always lighting up a room with her beautiful spirit. You would have never know that she was carrying this burden upon her. She always put everyone else first and cared so much for others. She loved teaching and her students so much she was truly the most beautiful soul I have ever met. I am very honored to have known her and been impacted by her amazing presence. You will forever be in my thought and I am so sad I can not be there to honor your memory in person but I will be with you in spirit. May you rest easy and will always be remembered as an amazing soul.

To her family and friends; I hope and pray we will all get through this. In fact, I know we will, so long as we use Mahogany as our North Star to live life as she did. Mahogany was truly, without a doubt, a selfless and loving soul who set the tone in any room she stepped foot in. Her spirit and company was warm and caring; she elevated those around her as both a teacher and a friend. I feel honored and blessed to have known her in my life. I promise to uphold her memory by living whatever time left I have here on this earth the way she did; effortlessly with grace and showing compassion for others. She was an angel disguised as one of us and made us all the better in her care.

My heart is so heavy. Mahogany was literally an angel on earth she made sure everyone was okay and also made sure everyone was surrounded by love. I met Mahogany at Target working with my sister and she was one of the kindest souls to ever exist. We both had so much in common from our music taste, loving children, and working in Education. She made sure to motivate me to continue to do school and finish so that one of these days I can be a teacher just like her. She would send me pictures of her classroom and talk about her students all the time. That was something that motivated me to work with children even more. Mahogany you were the sweetest, most positive, and beautiful person I've ever known. I hope heaven is treating you well like you treated everyone here on earth. I love you Angel🤍 Sincerely, your Zuronika
