"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life..." -John 5:28,29
Lonar Hobart Durden III was affectionately known as “Dad”, “Pop Pop”, “The Boss”, “Brother Bart”, and “Brother Durden”. Lonar “Bart” Durden was born on April 20, 1952 in Atlanta, GA. He grew up on Lake Rabun, GA and in Toccoa, GA with his parents and three siblings. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses on April 22, 1978. He will be remembered for his faithful service to Jehovah, love for his family and friends, and ability as a grill master and mechanic extraordinaire. Bart could fix almost anything. We will miss his stories, his energy, and personal experiences.
We look forward to seeing Bart again when Jehovah will resurrect our loved ones as promised in John 5:28, 29.

To my best friend, love and husband, Bart: When we meet on November 2018, I never imagined you would become my favorite person. You chose me to be your wife and shared your life, dreams, precious memories and endless love. I chose you to be husband and together we enjoyed a special relationship with many wonderful memories, Bart. You are a wonderful example of true love, confidence, strength and stability. My heart is heavy but I am honored to have been given your heart to love indefinitely. I will continue to love you for a lifetime and beyond . As the scripture in Daniel 12:13 says - But as for you, go on to the end. You will rest, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of the days.”
