Liz Weber passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the age of 65, surrounded by her children and husband.
Liz was born to Cole and Ellen Weber in St. Louis, MO. She grew up the eldest of seven and attended Ursuline Academy where she developed friendships that provided a great source of joy throughout her life. She went on to obtain her nursing degree from the University of Missouri and spent years caring for critically ill patients in the ICU at a local hospital. Liz then returned to the University of Missouri for a Master of Computer Science, which she used in combination with her deep knowledge of quality healthcare to build a successful career in computer software development serving hospitals around the world.
A lover of gardening, baking, wildflowers, and sewing, Liz lived a life of service to her family and friends. She believed deeply in the power of listening and actively showing up for others. Liz was also an engaged member of Salt Lake City’s yoga community, participating regularly in workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats. She found particular happiness in sharing her enjoyment of yoga through multiple volunteer teaching positions.
Liz will be deeply missed by her husband, Ed King, her three kids, Sarah, Ethan, and Hannah, and her six siblings, Tom Weber, Ann Steitz, Joe Weber, Mary Schmidt, Patty Drury, and Katie Mallery, as well as their respective spouses and children. Liz will be honored in a memorial service the summer of 2021; details of which are to come pending covid and travel related restrictions.
She was an advocate for the advancement of therapeutic interventions for future patients. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance on her behalf.

I met Liz as a 14 year old at Ursuline Academy. She was tall, smart and a great friend. She shared her time and talents with all. No matter where she was she never forgot us. She was a great daughter, wife, mother, and friend. The last time I saw her she organized a zoom gathering for us. The picture is of some of us in Chicago celebrating one of many birthdays. I will miss you Liz.

Liz has been a wonderful friend and co-worker. I first met Liz in 1989 working for Intermountain Health/ GTE/Siemens. Though the years of change at work we became good friends. I enjoyed our evening walks at SugarHouse park, cross country skiing, camping, and most importantly our conversations about work, life and family. She has made my life much fuller and I am glad our paths crossed. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I worked with Liz at Siemens for many years and was inspired by her strong yet compassionate leadership. I have often thought of her as a role model as I have grown in my own career and am grateful for her positive influence.

Liz was a kind, thoughtful leader with whom I had the opportunity to work for many years. Every interaction with Liz was a learning moment for me both personally and professionally. She is an inspiration for many like me. She not only lead by example but also mentored and encouraged the teams to reach their highest potential. She will be deeply missed.
