Recuerdos

My Bride, My Love, My Heart, Letti Petito, passed away on December 18, 2020. I held her hand, caressed her forehead and told her how much we all love her. I told her she was now in charge. Together we walked hand in hand through marriage and life. We would walk through this together too. Shortly after, the greatest heart, the biggest heart I've ever known beat for the last time. Her greatest love in life were her Sons, Al Seiter and Ian Seiter. To her, her greatest accomplishment was being a mother of two fine men. Her greatest daily joy was caring for her four dogs, she loved every one of them, past and present, as if they were her child. Her extensive family in the Philippines also mourns the loss of this wonderful soul. She lost touch for many years with the family in the Philippines, but then through the aid of social media, was able to reconnect and return to the Philippines to reunite with her family. This brought her much joy. As a Certified Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide for Hospice the last 15 years, she cared for each of her patients as if they were family. She gave them dignity, caring, and love during their final days. She cried and grieved the loss of each of her patients. My wife immigrated to the United States from the Philippine Islands. She became an American Citizen, and more importantly, evolved to be a true patriot. She was hospitalized on November 15th with Covid-19. The disease quickly and invasively overwhelmed her lungs, shortly after she required a ventilator to survive. After 21 or so days on a ventilator and every course of treatment available, it was all just too much for her body to withstand. Our Family asks that, in remembrance of Letti, every day and especially during this Holiday Season, that you each hug your loved ones just a little longer, and just a little tighter than usual. Love to all. Joe Petito and family

From Cathy Paul: I had the honor of meeting Letti and Al and Dawn's wedding. It is rare to meet someone that you feel you have an instant connection to, and she hugged me upon being introduced to her as if we'd known each other for years. What struck me the most about her was her laugh and giggle. We did a lot ot that in the short time we spoke prior to the wedding ceremony, as we discovered we were born only 9 days apart! In true Aries style, her firery and sparkling personality brought such a sense of pure joy to that day. It is a memory I will treasure always, as well as a daily reminder to welcome all those who come in to your life with open harms and a happy heart. Rest in paradise Letti, knowing that for just a brief moment, you made a lasting impression on my heart. With love, Cathy "Caheeth" Paul

What I remember the most is your mom's beautiful smile, and how she hugged me like I was her own daughter at your wedding. We laughed when we discovered we were born only 9 days apart, and giggled over thoughts exchanged about how we were true Aries women. I will treasure that memory always. Sending you and your family much love, warmth, and peace. Love, Caheeth

There is no one memory of my little Filipino mom. The memories that I have wilI be of a home away from home, a family away from mine, a place to be loved and a mom who wasn't blood while treating me as such. Whether it was Ian and I going to visit her at Denny's in the middle of the night or deciding I wanted to spend the night (again). I felt right at home except there was lumpia and a hot tub. This hit me hard and I'm always here for you Joe, Al and my best friend Ian. Goodbye Letti. All my love mama.

Sending so much love and care to all of Letti's loved ones. Through Ian's powerful writing, I recall Letti's beautiful spirit and enormous heart. A muse to her son, she was an inspiration for all of us at Hunter. She will always be remembered <3
