Kimberley Copeland

Mrs. Kimberley Hughes (Boyd) Copeland, 59, of Peoria, IL passed away at 4:50 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Kimberley was born on March 6, 1959 in Evanston, IL to Keith and Elizabeth Petersen. She married the love of her life, Frederick Copeland in Chicago, IL on July 11, 1998. Kimberley worked for Corn Products International as a Paralegal in Chicago, IL. Kimberley leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving and devoted husband of 21 years, Frederick Copeland of Peoria; her mother, Elizabeth Petersen of Chicago, IL; one son, Ferro (Emily) Boyd of Chicago, IL; one brother, Larry Petersen, of Chicago, IL, two grandchildren (Liam and Maya) and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Keith Petersen, one daughter, Valli Nicholas and one grandson, Patrick Nicholas. Kimberley Copeland was an AMAZING mother, BEAUTIFUL wife, LOVING sister, PROUD aunt, THOUGHTFUL friend and SO MUCH MORE to the many people she touched. She triumphed over nearly all of the challenges and obstacles she faced throughout her lifetime. However, on Saturday, December 22nd her struggle with a long bout of life-threatening, health-related issues came to an end.
