Kelly Lucie McIver

Kelly Lucie McIver was born on June 6, 1974 to the late John Joseph McIver and the late Doris Mae Faccion McIver in New Orleans, LA. She grew up in Arabi, LA, with her older brother, Frank Rodney Von Hoven, nearby. Kelly graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Chalmette, LA. There she later attended Nunez Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in computer science.

Kelly loved giving gifts and enjoyed creating art. She had three daughters: Stella Teresa McIver, Cara Marissa Torquati, and Beverly Catherine Diehl. They will fondly remember singing along to No Doubt with her on many car rides and watching Across the Universe together too many times to count.

Kelly passed away at the age of 47, on June 15, 2021. She leaves behind many loved ones to remember the fun times she brought into their lives.

An interment service for Kelly will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, May 13, 2022 at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens (701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043), and will be immediately followed by a celebration of her life at a private residence. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to your charity of choice.
