Keith was one of life's genuinely nice people. I can't remember how long he played walking football with us at Loughborough Dynamo - this is no reflection on Keith, I can barely remember how long I've been playing there myself - but he's left a lasting impression on all of us. He really seemed to enjoy it and yes, as Emily said, like all of us was prone to a bit of running. What I liked about Keith was he always played with a smile on his face and he had this move - a drag back (you'll have to google it) - that he'd obviously perfected over the years that certainly made a fool out of me a good many times. He loved doing it so much he would do one after another, after another just to rub it in but that's what it's all about, having a bit of fun, and it seems like Keith has had a life with a lot of love and laughter in it. He always stayed behind at the club after the game for his pint of lime cordial - a refreshing rarity for our group - and put us all to shame with his sartorial elegance. An absolute gent who will genuinely be missed. From all at Loughborough Dynamo you have our deepest sympathies

Keith Frampton - in memory of a genuine guy Keith and I worked together for many years providing insurance for members of HM Forces. Keith was passionate about the subject and what he could do to get the best possible motor insurance for the soldiers, sailors and airmen and women - and this extended to all financial advice. No stone was left unturned in his mission to make sure that the benefits matched their lifestyles and that if someone was posted overseas their insurance record was not affected. Instances included retaining the benefit of UK no claims discounts whilst being posted in Germany, laid up cover when away on active service and behind the wire and business cover as standard. He blew the trumpet loud and strong and was unafraid of knocking on any and every door to get what worked for his customers. I first came across Keith as a result of our mutual interest in setting up a panel of insurance and investment enterprises to ensure that the integrity and commitment with which he worked was part of what every other insurance broker who went on camp had as well. He disliked those who he saw as taking advantage of a privileged position and 100% championed the importance of trust. We served together on the committee of SIIAP for many years and worked closely with MoD. When he set up his own business, TFI - TF Insurance Services, he courted and cajoled 49 insurance companies before he found in number 50 a company that was prepared to underwrite a specialist motor insurance scheme for members of HM Forces irrespective of where in the world the person was stationed. When the business was growing, and working capital was short, we decided to combine businesses under the Abacus banner and, although he would have preferred to have remained independent, he was a diligent supporter of what we were looking to achieve. I was once talking to him in his offices about the importance of financial control (which was not his strong point) and the small things like petty cash and asked him how much he had in the petty cash tin. Having found that he'd lost the key Keith picked up the tin, cocked his head on one side, moved it from hand to hand and said, always positive, "There's £30 in here". Then realising what he'd said we both collapsed laughing and tears came down our cheeks. We laughed about it many times afterwards. A great bloke. What I know about motor insurance is all down to Keith. Most of what the world knows about the specialist motor insurance that covers HM Forces personnel is down to Keith. He was the world expert. We will remember him with fondness and gratitude. With Love Michael Nicholson
