Dear Kehinde, I have two memories of you. Throughout primary school, we were classmates and friends, and I remember your younger sister periodically trying to ‘hang' with us senior girls and we would essentially send and ‘shoo' her back to the proverbial ‘kids table' with the little kids! Lol. Second and above all was you, Taiwo, and I riding around in the 504 with the driver blasting the song by Amy Grant ‘ Sing Your Praise to The Lord.' We LOOOOVEED that song! You both introduced me to Amy Grant's music sometime in the late 80's. We almost destroyed that tape! For over 30 years, anytime I hear that song, I think of us 3 in that 504 pressing replay while screaming at the top of our lungs and humming the classical music prelude to the vocals!! I thank God that I spoke to you for about 20 minutes on November 1st, 2019 following your previous attempts to reach me. I am so glad that I picked that call…otherwise… The collective pain from losing you is immense across the board, from your family, friends, colleagues and all who interacted with you. You were an angel Kehinde, and please watch over us all. Truly, you are gone too too soon. I have listened to ‘our song' everyday since you passed away. I pray that you Rest in Peace. Your calm, sweet, and kind demeanour will never be forgotten.

I had known Kehinde since primary school. She was such a brilliant student and always excelled in her academics. She was so pleasant and always had a smile on her face. I pray for God's grace and strength for all her loved ones. My sincere condolences.

Since I heard about your passing time stood still for me as I could not believe what had happened. However, following your funeral and hearing how highly thought of you were among friends and family, you have given me a challenge on being a mother, a wife and a child of God. Rest in beloved kehinde, the Lord will protect your husband and children you left behind.

Rest In Peace Kehinde and May God comfort your family and loved ones.
