Kari, It has been 3 weeks since your beautiful heart stopped beating. I am still in disbelief. I know you are safe and not hurting now but Oh how we grieve the loss of you. I knew of your kindness, and humor and love. I saw you grow from a young 20 something girl to a women of depth, character and compassion. The love you had and stregnth you showed for John, Lane and your family was Fierce! I was very proud of the woman you became and was grateful for the part in which I got to share in it. I will remember you always being there in fun times and sad times, helping whenever needed and having an encouraging word ready, or stregnth to share when mine was low. Miss your sweet face Kari Beth Celia and Randy Wenb .

Kari was a gift from God to the Long family. We owe so much to her ... Words could never express how much her love, support and kindness meant through the years. Because of Kari -- we were able to establish our careers and never be nervous about who was caring for our daughter, Taylor while we were away. Kari was the only babysitter Taylor ever knew ... she was literally a second Mom to her... what a blessing. Her loss brings loads of tears of a life cut far too short --- but, also deep gratitude for a life well lived by the Lord's good and faithful servant. She will never be forgotten.

I don't even have words to express what Kari has meant to me over the last 20+ years. A friend, a sister, a confidante, a travel buddy and all around partner in crime.

Putting into words how much Kari meant to me is nearly impossible. She was a second mom to me growing up. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today without her. I can only strive to be the kind of mom, friend, and caregiver Kari was to everyone. I love you so much, Kari.

I met Kari after asking to friends who did their hair as it looked amazing and both said Kari Kline!!! I went to her when my youngest was just in preschool (Reece is now 18.) Kari always went above and beyond fixing my hair after she finished my cut-n-color. She was so fast too! And, her prices were beyond fair. She even showed me how to cut my son’s hair when I said I needed to cut costs. Then over the years, our kids attend the same school, NCES. She loved Lane ferociously and we would talk about our kids as she volunteered after a lunch lady day or when I subbed or worked in the library. We also volunteered at different events or in the office together. She had a great sense of humor and made me laugh hard! After my kids left the school, we always chatted about where people were and how they were doing over my hairdo. We shared books we liked and I brought her a Starbucks on occasion to fuel her spirit. Unfortunately, we also share the same oncologist. When I said I had a friend seeing him, he asked who and I told him. He told me how much he really cared about Kari and John as they were so nice!! Kari was full of life, encouraging, and soft hearted yet fierce, and her faith was a steady flame in her heart. ♥️ I already miss her so much!!! XOXO
