Bess passed away on November 11 2019. Karen born in Maryville Tennessee on April 11,19470 to Lawrence and Zelma Scott. She was born a true Tennessee volunteer and continuously volunteered her service to the Lord Jesus Christ and to others. She ministered to and helped all she met. She showed her love to others by her actions. Her family eventually moved to Austin where she went to school and fell in love with William Thompson and was married in 1990. Karen and William took in everyone that needed a home and nurturing. At one point, all at the same time in the same home she and William cared for Keren's Daughters Nettie Thompson, Natasia Thompson their friend Leason, Karen nephew Buddy and 2 nieces, Carleen and Amanda, In addition, she looked out for countless others in the then small community of Round Rock. Karen is also known to many through her service at the local bank where she ensured the best care for her customers from a professional standpoint as well as personal.
