It is with deep sorrow, we are delivering some heartbreaking news. Karen went home to be with Jesus. Although Our hearts are broken, hers is whole ❤️

It has been a fast and unforeseen journey over the last several weeks. She never complained or got sick, so unexpectedly we took her to the emergency room due to severe back pain. It was then we received the devastating news that not only did she have a fracture in her spine, but that she had cancer spread throughout her body. We were devastated, but because she is a fighter, she bounced back enough to start treatment, including radiation and chemo. She was most importantly able spend some much needed quality time with her family. Unfortunately, she returned to the hospital for her last fight. We all thought we had more time, but truly there is never enough. We were blessed to take her home from the hospital for one night so she was able to say goodbye to her grandkids and her children. Before having any chance to see more of the people she loved, she went home to be with Jesus. We may feel like we lost this fight, but we know she won in every way! I know she wanted all her dear friends and family to remember her as she was, vibrant, funny, full of life, and as the woman behind the chair everyday! She loved everyone so much, had many more children than her two daughters, and was considered a mom by many who loved her. She loved you unconditionally, and guided you if you ever felt off course. And for some, even led you to Jesus. She was our rock and a true gift to us all ❤️

We are planning to celebrate her life, but details are yet to be determined. We will let you know how we can honor her as soon as we are able.
