K.S.Giri Memorial

Our father Shri K S Giri, alias Seshagiri lived a full life and passed away very peacefully holding Mythily's hand on Tuesday, the 14th of Dec, a very auspicious day Vaikunta Ekadesi. After our mother passed away in 1989, our dear father took on both the roles of parents, retired from Nestle and plunged into supporting the family. How well he did so - from managing the home, taking care of grand children, taxes for everyone, learnt vedas and became proficient and kept himself very busy. The way he took care of his parents was an example for us to follow. Towards the end, he was ready in every way from listing out what we had to do with his money, asking us to inform Nestle to stop his pension and clearing out his cupboard. His memories will stay with us forever. His qualities to name a few are selfless service, dedication, thoroughness in anything one did and caring for loved ones. To everyone who knew him or crossed paths, we would like to thank you. We are sure you had an influence on our dear father. Thank you. _____________________________________________________ Dear Ramesh, we all sad to note Giri sir is no more, I lost a mentor, he was one of the pillars of choladi factory, whenever we visit Ooty and Gudalur, we could realize the respect he earned from all govt offices, bank officials, shops, petrol bunks and I m mentioning here only a very few, very familiar person, his affinity to FSL/NESTLE cannot be described in words. He will not supervise any of our work and he knew that staffs will perform their duties, rarely he come ask for status of the pending work, he had very soft corners for everyone especially Security guards since they all far away from their home towns( Nepal). Always his table will be clean, will not keep the papers not more than an hour. Clear instructions to subordinates in writing about the schedule of work( daily, weekly, monthly, yearly). Very punctual to office timings. Learnt many things from him. I really lost him. He and Mythili visited my house at Gurgaon when I was there. Post my retirement once I shifted to chennai I couldn't meet him. I pray the almighty to give all of you enough strength to bear the irreparable loss caused due to his death. -- RAMKI ________________________________________________________ Sincere condolences to all of you. From the families of semangalam, he was always in the forefront in all our family functions and lead from the front. He is soo loving to his children, nephews, nieces, daughter in laws and had been an anchor to the semangalam family. His absence will be dearly felt for very long.
