Judy Cerf Beil

Judith Cerf Beil, 80, of White Plains, New York, passed away on December 20, 2025, peacefully at home.

Born in Syracuse, New York, Judy lived a life grounded in learning, family, and quiet strength. She was, above all, a devoted wife, mother, and friend, roles she cherished deeply and carried with grace.

Judy was known for her humor, kindness, and resilience. She brought warmth and intelligence to every space she occupied, and her presence was a steadying force for those who knew her. Professionally, she served as Curator of Education and Director of Special Projects at Lyndhurst Mansion, where her love of teaching, history, and thoughtful engagement found full expression. She was a graduate of Russell Sage College and Bank Street College of Education, institutions that reflected her lifelong commitment to learning and education.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Dolf Beil; her sons, DJ and Kurt; her grandchildren, Jackson and Rayla; and her brother, J. Georg Cerf. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tina, whom she held close in her heart.

Judy’s greatest love was family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped through care, humor, and steadfast devotion.

Private services will be held. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
