Joyce Eileen MacLean

Joyce Eileen MacLean, born 5 March,1939 to Beulah and George MacLean in Moncton, NB, died peacefully on 24 May, 2025 in Oakville, ON. An avid bookworm from childhood, she earned her nursing degree in St John, NB, then moved with husband Darryl Couchot (wed 17 September 1960- div 1971) to the USA , where their children Star and Kris were born. 

Joyce then again lived in Moncton before joining her siblings in Ontario. Joyce and her sister Jean and furry kids lived many years together in Mississauga, ON. She was a devoted aunt and grandma and a kind and steadfast friend to many (esp inc Melvin Legree). 

Joyce is survived by brothers Ronald (Marilyn) MacLean, Michael (Suzanne) MacLean, sister Jean MacLean, like a lil sis Paulette LeBlanc and children Star (Kevin) Downey and Kris (Eileen) Nicholas. Her ashes will be sent to Kris.
