Recuerdos

Joe (JP to many family and friends) was a deeply loved son, brother, grandchild, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a kind, happy soul who had already fulfilled some important dreams in his short life. Two days after turning 15, Joe decided to apply to be a Denver Parks & Rec lifeguard and his job brought him so much joy. He saved his money to buy his 1st car - an Audi A4 (a 2010 but impressive just the same). He also enjoyed being a part of his school robotics team and playing the guitar. He loved hanging out and spending time with his friends. It was not always easy to be a big brother to triplet siblings, but he loved them and they loved him right back. We were so proud of the man he was becoming. He will be missed more than words can express. Joe is survived by his parents, Joseph Jr. and Kelly Crist; his brother, Ryan his sisters, Caitlin and Madison; grandparents, Joseph Sr. and Margaret Crist of Foxboro. MA, Terrance and Marlene O'Reilly of Denver, CO; his aunts, uncles, and many cousins. You will be forever in our hearts. **We know that many would like to celebrate Joe's life with us but due to the current pandemic, we cannot be all together. During the funeral, our priest will bless over 200 Colorado beeswax prayer taper candles that we will then have available to pick up. They will be available on our porch Tues, May 19th- Sat, May 23rd from 8 am-1 pm each day. We invite you to stop by and take one or a few and send light and love to Joe.

Our moments, hours and days spent with JP were full with his quiet joy and dry humor. JP's visits to Foxboro and Martha's Vineyard will remain special memories for our whole family: sharing simple pleasures of childhood summers together… husking corn on the porch, digging worms in Nielson's manure pile, fishing and playing "king of the raft" on Cocasset Lake, candy and pickle runs to the Old Country Store, playing at the Taylor School playground, driving the Boston Duck Boat, "Finishing at the 50", sitting on the porch by Ocean Park, and bike riding and bridge-jumping in Edgartown. We miss JP, and we send our love and support to Joe, Kelly, Ryan, Caitlin and Madison.

It was always fun to have a teenager in our group and JP was happy to sit with the old folks for a few minutes and catch up. His smile was contagious and he will be deeply missed.
