Memorial

JOSE C. ARAGON Resident of Tucumcari, formally of La Puebla NM. He is preceded by his daughter; Angela Griego. He is survived by his wife; Hanako Aragon, daughter; Carmelita Aragon- Torres (Michael), daughter; Anita Saiz (Manuel), daughter; Carla Aragon-Martinez (Carlos), son; Carlos Aragon Jr., (Karen), daughter; Martha Smith (Michael), 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters; Angie, Cecilia, Ida, Priscilla, Laura, brothers; Serafin, and Leroy along with many relatives. Jose was a Police Officer in Bernalillo, a truck driver for 24 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, family celebrations, working in his garden, and restoring old cars. He had a strong faith in God. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 8, 2013 at 6p.m. at Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola with a Rosary to follow at 7p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church 908 Rosario St. Espanola, NM. Interment will be held on Monday August 12, 2013 at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.

We met your dad when my brother was in the hospital this past December and we enjoyed his company very much. Your father had such an amazing personality and great sense of humor. Matthew Rivera, Sr.

I was saddened to hear that Mr. Aragon had passed away, but am confident that He is at peace in his eternal rest. I know he worked hard to be a good provider to his wife and children, and also that he was a good role model, loving, and positive. I also know that his family holds him in their hearts everyday as they continue in their own personal paths here on earth. His love, personality, voice & laugh, will surely bring a smile to their faces as they remember all of the fun times together, and thats a great way to remember him. God bless you during this sad but new time in your lives, especially Mrs. Aragon.
