John Pettit

John is survived by his loving wife Anna, his brother Clayton, and his children Janet, Chris, and Angelica. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. John had a distinguished military career, serving in the Navy. He proudly dedicated his time to serving his country and his military associations were an important part of his life. Throughout his life, John pursued various careers including truck driver, school teacher, and singer/entertainer. He had a deep love for old cars, woodworking, and music, which he enjoyed as hobbies.

The family is having a memorial service Friday January 26, 2024 at 11:30am at Viceroy Central Park Grand Room 2155 Arkansas Ln. Grand Prairie, TX 75052.

A graveside service will be held on January 26, 2024, at 3:00pm at DFW National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

Following the service, a celebration of John's life will take place at 5:00pm at the American Legion Post 516, located at 6801 Manhattan Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76120. This celebration will be filled with music and laughter, honoring what John loved the most.
