John Karl Fredericks

4/5/1974 - 12/7/2019 This memory page is for a wonderful Son, Boyfriend (Husband), and Father. John Karl Fredericks was born on April 5th, 1974 and adopted by James and Karla Fredericks. He was born in Fresno and spent most of his child years there. He attended Catholic Schools, spent a year in Military Academy, went to public Las Vegas schools, attended Upland High and ultimately graduating from Hillside High in 1992. In 2000 he met Dawn (mother of daughter) and in August of 2001 Hanna, his daughter was born. Because he was adopted he promised himself that no matter what, he was always going to be there for his daughter any way he could. If you ever met John and talked with him about his daughter, he would always tell you the story about when Hanna was little and how he use to balance her on his hand by her feet. And by the end of that story his voice would be cracking a little and he'd shed a tear and say "Why can't they always stay that little?" He loved his daughter unconditionally until the day he passed. Halloween was his favorite holiday and especially loved taking Hanna trick-or-treating. He also enjoyed taking her to the movies and on occasion taking her to play pool or a round of bowling. Many weekends they would just stay and watch movies at home on the big living room tv. On those days good days when John didn't have Hanna and I (Brandy) was at work, you'd find him walking his dogs or helping his father. He was an outside the box thinker. He was very smart and loved doing projects, a part of him that not a lot of people got to see. He was a very good electrician and loved using his Multiplaz, a welding machine that took one part water and one part alcohol. John was a friend of mine for several years before we became a couple. On March 7th 2011, we made it official and had almost spent 10 years together. He loved me like no one else, he knew me like no one else, he wasn't just my boyfriend, he was my best friend.
