Jinny was a special student at the California College of the Arts. Her creativity, work ethic and sense of humor made her a standout in our design program. I was fortunate to have her as a student in four different classes. I remember many of her well conceived and skillfully executed projects. Her Thesis wedding dress made of faux money was a statement about our skewed social values. She was a member of my Japan study abroad class and loved the experience so much she returned there two more times. Jinny loved Hawaii and we planned to meet up here in the future. She lived life passionately. It would take most of us 80 years to live her 40.
