Jerry W Brands

Jerry W. Brands, 66, of Morrison, IL. passed away in Cebu, Philippines November 17th, 2025. Jerry was born July 22nd,1959 in Morrison, IL., the son of Donald “Donny” & Karen Brands. He married Gina Brands, of Cebu, Philippines in 1999 and had one daughter, Tyra Brands in 2002. Jerry alongside with his brother Jon and father Don working with their family business Brands Heating & Cooling until he retired in 2018 and moved to the Philippines where he loved. He then remarried Nancy B. of Carmen, Cebu. His last years in Sterling involved spending his mornings at Parkway Village Family Restaurant enjoying a cup of coffee chatting with everyone. Jerry enjoyed making people laugh, exploring new places, and enduring in the Filipino culture. He took great pride in his daughter, who continues to honor his memory through the person she has become. His final wishes were to be cremated and his ashes thrown in the ocean by his daughter Tyra Brands at their house in Compostela, Cebu, Philippines. 

Survivors include his three siblings Jeff (Robin) Brands, Jon (Barb) Brands of Morrison, IL, his sister Jill (Robert) Daugherty of Camden, AR, one daughter, Tyra Brands of Sterling, and step mother Nancy Brands of Sterling. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald & Karen Brands, and one nephew Cooper Daugherty.
