Jennifer Blackman

Jennifer is survived by her daughter Carla Lawson and son Corey Lawson. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bessie Blackman. She was preceded in death by her late husband Samuel Eugene Lawson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Minister Anthony Blackman. Jennifer was a graduate of UC Berkeley. She excelled in every endeavor including the roles of mother, grandmother, scholar, college professor, Administrator at the Contra Costa County Foster Care Program, author, and a dear friend to everyone who knew her. She is eternally loved by her surviving siblings, Judy Hall, Valerie Williams, Patsy Blackman, and Bennye Blackman and her loving nieces and nephews and in-laws. Jennifer’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 1 pm at the Marina Event Center, 200 Marina Blvd. Pittsburg, CA.
