Jeff Hayden

Jeff and I went to high school together. We reconnected a few years later when he found the notes I had lent him in one of our classes and tracked me down. It was during a pretty big time for both of us. He was moving on from Ken Borek to fly with the UN and then Air Canada, I had just accepted a teaching position at an international school in the Philippines. Needless, to say, it was a lot and challenging for us to navigate. I have so many great memories of our time together from high school, Australia, Vancouver Island, the Philippines, but most especially the normal days together in Edmonton. And even though we hadn't talked for a very long time, still, it made me happy to see that he was living his best life and pursuing and succeeding in so many of his dreams. Jeff, I can still hear your voice as though it was yesterday (must have been all those long distance phone calls;). It guts me to know that you are no longer here. I will always hold a special spot in my heart for you. Rest in peace Jeff. Toksa ♥️Michelle
