Update on December 2/20 | Thank you all for the kind and generous support. Although the grief of losing Jaz is bigger than we could have ever imagined, your notes and memories remind us of how many lives he touched. Please keep sharing your stories. 

Many of you are asking how you can help us. We are so grateful for your offers of support. The best way you can help us right now is:

1. As you are able, make a donation to either The BeeHive or A Dollar A Day (links on the site). 
2. Check-in on those you love and ask how they really are. 

While we appreciate your kind offers of food and flowers, we are ok in those departments right now. Our need for meals will probably increase in the new year. If you are interested in helping out then, please send a note to curt@pearlstreet.ca. Someone will be back in touch in January. 

We will be holding a private and very small family service this weekend. We are planning a Celebration of Life for Jaz in the summer when we can all be together, hopefully without masks and able to share our memories and grief together.

November 30, 2020Yesterday we lost our darling boy Jazper to suicide. 

As some of you may be aware, Jazper suffered unspeakable trauma in his formative years that few of us could ever comprehend.

Every waking minute, with guts and determination he forced his demons aside and got on with the business of living his life as best he could. 

But yesterday he had enough of his endless battle and left our mortal shores to fly high where his pain is no longer and he can be at peace. 

We both come from cultures where during these times our home would be filled with friends and family to share funny stories, laugh and help each other through the pain.  This site will have to be our house wake for now. Thank you for sharing your stories, pictures and memories with us. 

We will have further details about a memorial in the future.
