You are now our guardian angel. Thank you for watching over us and guiding us through this journey of life.
It is with great sadness that the family of James (Jimmy or Jim) Walter Plowman announces his passing after a brief-non-covid illness, on Friday, December 25, 2020, at the age of 68 years. Jimmy will be lovingly remembered by his sister Elizabeth, children, Jim (Jamie), Gary, Heather, son-in-law, Chris, nephews, Ryan, Kyle, and Cody, family-like friends Barbara and family, coworkers, and many others.
Jimmy will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jim (little Jamie), Branden, Hunter, Hampton, Harper, Cali, and family-like granddaughter, Molly. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents James S. and Edyth S. (Goodsell), and siblings Geoffrey and Susanne.
Jimmy is known for his generosity, hardworking-work ethic, physical strength, and overall good health. In earlier years, Jimmy participated and excelled as a triathlete. He competed in multiple Boston Marathons and Triathlons, was an avid skier, and enjoyed playing golf.
Jimmy grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He graduated with a horticulture degree from Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He began his career path at American Linen (AmeriPride) in 1976. After over 20 years in management, he sought out alternative employment with G.R. Nowell & Son, Inc. for another 20 years.
Jimmy enjoyed the outdoors. His children have fond-family memories of camping, hunting, boating, and skiing. He spent a great deal of time in Lancaster, New Hampshire at his good friend, Barbara's, family camp. Jimmy biked to work when the weather permitted, and "walked the pond" daily, in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Jimmy was a supportive brother, loving father, generous grandfather, loyal friend, and dedicated employee. He will be sincerely missed. Until we meet again…

I miss you every day! I never in a million years would think it would be this hard. The pain in my heart is tremendous. I still can’t believe you are gone. Fucking Covid prevented us from seeing each other for so long. We use to talk about the quality of life being so fearful of the stupid virus that less than 1% of people die from. You will live forever in my heart. I love you, daddy.

Jimmy, I'm still in shock that you are gone. I thought my heart couldn't break anymore after all the losses I've endured, but it is broken once again. I will forever miss you. You were the oldest. I was the youngest. We both shared a great love for Mom!!!! I have peace knowing that you are in Heaven with her now and happy once again!!! I know you will be there waiting for me one day. Life's not perfect, nor is anyone, but we were family and never forgot that!! I always knew no matter what happened you would be there for me. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves memories no one can steal! I will hold onto the many good memories we made over the years. I will miss our phone calls! Soar Jimmy, you are free now!!! Love always, Lizzie
