Jack Russitano

Jack was born in San Francisco in 1945. He lived a life of travel and had a passion for making others happy. Though his childhood was marked with challenges, Jack was able to rise above his upbringing and become very successful. Jack graduated from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco. At Polytechnic, Jack played football, joined the swim team and even acted in a play. During his senior year in high school Jack joined the Navy Reserve and upon graduating he went on to join the Navy. Jack was a Veteran who served in the Vietnam war. After his service, he attended Grossmont College where he met his (now) ex-wife Susan. Then he transferred to San Diego State where he completed his Bachelor's degree. A few years after getting married in 1973, Jack and Susan moved to San Jose, California where their 2 children were born.. Jack enjoyed acting and could be seen on stage at the San Jose Community College. Jack spent many years working as a Manufacturing Engineer at various companies around the Bay Area. After retirement, Jack could be seen at the Los Gatos recreation center teaching ballroom dance, playing cards with his friends from Open Mic and bringing people cheer as Santa Claus during the holiday season. Jack passed away on July 9, 2021 at his home in San Jose from complications due to Dementia. He is survived by his half sister Laura, his children Sara and David and his Grandchildren Kylie, Lydia, Jack and Karl.
