Herbert-Lavance Cunning

Herbert-LaVance Cunning passed away on June 2, 2023. Born on July 28, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, he spent a significant portion of his life in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Herbert-LaVance was a cherished member of his community who walked closely with the Lord. This was evident in his ministry to everyone that knew him and will be remembered fondly.

In his professional life, Herbert-LaVance served as an architectural engineer from 1980 to 2019. His commitment to his craft and attention to detail were evident in every project he undertook. He was well-respected among his peers and undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the industry. 

Herbert-LaVance was preceded in death by his parents, William Herbert Campbell and Christine Campbell, his adopted father Curtis Cunning, his sister, Angela Campbell, and his adopted brother, Irven Cunning. Surviving family members include his brothers, Phillip, Jeffrey, and Elonzo; sisters, Cynthia, Cheryl, Carolyn, Carole, and Belita; his children, Herbert-LaVance Cunning II, LaTrisha Hall, Marquis Rice, Levi Rice, and Antonie Rice; and a host of extended family members. Each of his loved ones will miss him dearly and treasure the memories they shared together.

He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in White Hall, Arkansas on June 14, 2023. As Herbert-LaVance's life was marked by dedication and commitment, his family and friends will undoubtedly continue to carry on his legacy in their own lives.
