Henry (Yog) Vanderheide

On October 15, 2020 Henry "Yog" Vanderheide passed away unexpectedly. Henry is survived by Simone,Daughter April(Todd) and one grandson Josh. Henry is also survived by two sisters, Rita and Anne and one brother Rick(Ada). Brothers and Sisters in law, Debbie/Howard and Dale/Gerri. Henry leaves many nieces and nephews and many friends from here and Arizona. Henry was a loving and loyal man. He enjoyed golfing, cheering on his favorite sports team and may have been caught snoozing during a game. Henry even acquired his nick name Yog after playing back catcher in his younger years like Yogi Berra. Henry retired after a successful career with Russell Food Equipment. Retirement included relaxing & enjoying a cold beverage at his Alberta beach home and his winter get aways in Pheonix Arizona. Henry"Yog" will be missed by many. Due to government restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other that we still are. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever  the household that it is always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is that same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.... All is well.
