Gust Harry Zumas

With sadness we announce that Gust Harry Zumas, 85, of San Mateo, California, passed away on January 7, 2022, after congestive heart failure.

Gust was born on August 4, 1936, to Helen and Harry Zumas, in Helper, Utah. After graduating from Carbon County High School and the University of Utah, he began a long, successful career in bank supervision and auditing with the Federal Reserve Bank. He loved traveling, Greek food and culture, tennis (he was a dedicated member of the Foster City Tennis Club and local YMCA), and meeting friends for coffee.

Gust was predeceased by his brothers, Tony and Nick, and sister, Irene; and is survived by his nieces, Leni Zumas and Diana Zumas, and nephew, Greg Zumas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gust’s honor to the Foster City Tennis Club.
