While emotions can overwhelm us and words fail us, Jehovah has written our story with facts, color, dimension, and anticipated details we have yet to know even about ourselves. However, something I do understand is how Gary touched my life as a shepherd, a friend, a stabilizer, and a music maker. Jehovah will never forget who he was and who he will continue to be when he wakes up refreshed and in peace. The God of fire and rain guarantees that we will see him again! Bonita, Brandy, and David may Jehovah continually give you peace and stability. We love you!

So sorry to hear of your loss. We all know that just around the corner we’ll see him again, but it’s still sad to miss him. He was well loved.

Gary was such a joy to work with on concrete projects on both the RBC and LDC. He was kind, safety-conscious, and a skilled leader with an eye for detail. He was always willing to train others. Whenever I saw him, he was always happy. I am so sorry for your loss.

Rick & DiAnna Butler Dear Bonita Thank you for sharing the celebration of life of our dear brother and friend Gary. Our hearts go out to you and your family in this most difficult time. The video showed so many memories of fun, family and service to Jehovah. Love Always and into Paradise

Gary and I became friends working side by side on LDC Kingdom Hall projects and maintenance visits. He was someone who always had a smile on his face, no matter how bad something was going, it didn't seem to bother him - still smiling and laughing! In my younger years, especially early 20s, he was someone who I looked up to as he was a great husband and father, and a great elder. I knew that I wanted that type of relationship with my daughters and wife, and that I hope to be half the elder he was. Very soon we will see him again, healthy and happy with that infectious smile we all come to love and miss dearly! Until that time, take care Bonita, Brandi and David as my family loves you all! Know that we are here for all of you at any time.

I met Gary as a teenager, at a get together where a few of us brought our guitars. I loved the sound of his voice and his guitar style right off the batt. What I didn’t know was what a great friend and mentor he would become. Over the years, we would have so many fine music gatherings. He and I always had a musical mind-meld, a type of telepathy when you knew what the other was about play and vice versa. It was a special gift. Gary always listened and always gave or modeled good advice. He set a great example as a husband and father. I have told my children that if I could have a relationship with each of them like Gary had with Brandy, I would be a happy man. Gary made me realize that being a spiritual man and doing your duty for your family and friends doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy what this life has to offer. He worked hard, too care of everyone, yet always seemed at the center of fun. Bonita and Brandy, I came to love you two as well over those years. I can’t imagine the pain of your loss. You three are the model of a close family that I have always admired. And David, I know Gary loved you like a son and that you felt the same. I’m so sorry my brother. Take care of yourself and those girls. It will be tough to step int Gary’s shoes, but I know you can do it. The lyrics to one of the songs Gary loved to play keeps running through my head. “ I always thought that I’d see you again” I’m going to plan on that.
