“Mountains are cool.” -Garrett Keith
It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Garrett Keith, a beloved Bozeman local, outdoor enthusiast, and cherished friend to so many.
Garrett is survived by his mother, Lou Ann; his father, Brian; his sister, Becca; and his girlfriend, Melissa, along with countless friends and loved ones who will miss him deeply.
Known for his adventurous spirit, love of the outdoors, and genuine friendship, Garrett touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His absence is deeply felt, but his memory will live on through the people he loved, the places he explored, and the adventures he shared.
We invite all who knew Garrett to remember and honor his life by sharing stories, memories, and the love he brought into the lives of others.
Rest easy, Garrett. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

¿Cuál es tu recuerdo favorito compartido con Brian Garrett Winston?
Skiing Mt Rainier's Wilson Headwall, May 2023. Garrett stepped up big time when I needed a partner for this complicated objective. We had a blast and it ended up being one of the best days of the season (and perhaps ever) for me. Even though he had made a home elsewhere, Garrett's love for the mountains of Washington was clear.

A few memories
Steve Jung
I have many memories of Garrett as he progressed through his Scouting Years. Garrett was a go-getter and there was never a tree he coulddn't climb. He was in my Troop completing a trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. A favorite memory was hearing him yelling "hello" from high in a tree he climbed. It was no small feat finding him up high in a tree after minutes searching for him. He had no fear and was always full of energy. He gave me some memories to remember him by, for sure! Garrett you gave me some wonderful memories.
