Enid Soden

Enid Soden was born in Minden Nebraska on October 19, 1925. She had two brothers and six sisters. Although disadvantaged in many ways Enid worked as a waitress and earned enough money to attend art school in Chicago, IL. There she met he future husband Walter Soden. They were married in 1946. Enid gave birth to her son, Garrett, in February 1953 and her daughter, Pam in October 1956. Enid was an talented artist especially when working with pastels. She also loved animals. Enid and Wally had many pets though out their lifetime. She donated her time to local animal shelters, grooming animals and writing synopses about them for prospective adopters. She and Wally made some excellent real estate investments insuring a comfortable future for themselves and their children. Although headstrong and opinionated Enid was deeply loved and thought of as a second mom by many of her younger relatives. It’s comforting to know Enid and Wally are reunited. She will be missed.
