Jimmy Pardede

I am grateful to the Lord and his servant, Emanuel Swedenborg, for the writings published from the 1700's. I do not believe I would be alive if it was not for the writings. I spent many years searching for spiritual truth which made sense to me and answered my questions rationally. I searched high and low. When I found Swedenborg's writings, I was absolutely stunned. That was thirty one years ago. And I continue to learn from the writings today. His writings are exhaustive and I am grateful for that, there's always more to explore and learn from. And I learn new things too from re-reading my favorite classics, Heaven and Hell, Conjugial Love and Other Planets. Now I'm looking forward to reading Spiritual Diary. What I appreciate most is how he says faith alone is not enough. And that we should not accept the writings unless they make sense to us. Now how many writers in the spiritual/religious realm say that? And I do believe that he would want us to keep an open mind as we read the writings all these centuries later, including as we read the writings. By the way, most of his writings can be downloaded for free online. Just google his name and put free pdf.
