Liz Lackner’s zest for life & adventure were contagious. She was so much fun to be around. When I joined her ceramics class all those years ago, I wanted a weekly diversion from home & career. I got so much more. Liz’ creativity & artistic abilities inspired her students to create wonderful pieces that we were so proud of; the welcoming & friendly atmosphere that she provided to us encouraged us to spend our evenings chatting with our fellow classmates, but best of all she could always be counted on to share her excitement about her newfound money-making schemes, like her splatter paint jog suit creations and latest discoveries about herbal or natural health remedies (more often or not, a pyramid scheme). But most cherished for me was the added bonus of the friendship we built, which encompassed her family & mine…from visits to the boat, to Christmas celebrations, & to be so fortunate to have had the best and most trusted babysitter for our kids (yes, Cheryl, that’s you) On behalf of our family, Michael, Shauna, Fara & Matthew, our deepest condolences. May your wonderful memories of your dear wife, mother, mother-in-law, & grandmother sustain you through this difficult time. Fondly, Andi Marcus

Great Aunt Liz was wonderful. I'll always remember spending a week at her house doing ceramics in her studio. I always had fun doing those with her. As well as receiving her yearly hand painted Christmas decorations, Liz had always put in so much love and hard work making those, and it was always a pleasure displaying them every year. Loved Liz very much for everything she does.

Our condolences to the family. Liz was one of those people I can't forget and will always be remembered forever. She's been a faithful and true friend, a very thoughtful and loving woman, so easy to like and love. She's like a second mother to me. We shared laughter, joy, pain, sadness , stories that were never ending. We learn something from everyone who passes through our lives ...and they are priceless. and she is priceless. Wherever she is right now, she's having fun and you can hear her laughter. Liz, rest in peace , we love you and you will always be in our hearts .

My deepest condolences to Cheryl and all the family members during this diffucult time. Liz was my true friend since 17 years. She had such a warm, friendly and caring nature that made her so special. I have many precious memories shared with her. It is more painful for the family and friends left behind though I strongly believe Liz is happily reunited with not only her daughter and the family but the dogs with wagging their tails who passed on earlier. Looking forward to seeing you again when my time comes. April - Eiko Shimizu

Auntie Liz with her mischievous twinkle...she knew how to make a little girl feel special. Driving to Montreal to pick me up to spend the summer on Baby Point as I turned 7. As co-pilot, taking me flying on a teeny 3-seater plane with her as co-pilot. Bringing me back goodies from Brazil when she worked for Varig Airlines for a school project. Thoughtful, kind, and caring. Auntie Liz, I'll remember you always.
