Eddy Hou

On Monday, June 1, 2020, Eddy Hou passed away at the age of 50 years old. He was surrounded by his loving family and passed peacefully after a too short battle with liver cancer. He was a dutiful son, loving husband, doting father, and dear friend to many. He will be remembered for his warmth, unabashed generosity, and fun-loving personality.

Eddy Hou was born on July 13, 1969, in San Francisco to Johnson and Jeannie Hou, and remained a resident of San Francisco his entire life. He attended Sacred Heart High School. Soon after high school, he was quickly promoted to corporate sales but became interested in IT, and built several computers at home to create his own network and understand the infrastructure. He formalized his education by obtaining multiple certificates and found his talent in the IT/Business Consulting industry. He had an acuity for expanding his professional network but remained close with some of his earliest partners for many years of his career. On September 12, 2010, he married Tiffany Pang and together they raised two wonderful children, Christine and Theo.

Eddy loved to travel and loved enjoying life. His travels brought him all over North America and Asia. He learned to scuba dive and tried many different foods from many cultures. He collected fine watches and fine whiskey. But he most loved spending time with family and his closest friends. His generosity and infectious smile ensured a fun time for everyone around him.

He is survived by his father, Johnson Hou, his wife Tiffany, daughter Christine, and son Theo. An intimate family service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020. His family requests no flowers, but donations may be sent through gofundme.com for Eddy Hou.
