Dr Ram Kumar Mishra

5 novembre 1943 - 28 avril 2021
Forever in our Hearts.
Dr Ram Kumar Mishra was a devoted son; caring brother, friend and husband; loving father, uncle and grandfather; and a dedicated teacher. He practiced homeopathic medicine and was always ready to consult and advice his patients. His selfless service to his students as a teacher and principal at Bangurnagar Junior College has shaped lives of hundreds of his students. His simple approach to life and dedication to help others has been and continues to be an inspiration to us all.
His heart could not cope with all the love he carried for everyone and he passed away on 28th April 2021 after a heart surgery. He has left behind his mother, brother, wife, daughters & son-in-laws, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, friends, hundred of students and many others, whose life he touched, to remember him fondly and celebrate his life.

My heartfelt condolences to Dear Sir's family. Our beloved Dr Mishra Sir was a bundle of Infinite Knowledge, Love, Kindness, Affection, Humour, Energy - to name a few - for his infinite family of Bachhas. I sincerely wish he had an Infinite Lifeline. There may be many good teachers around, but he was the Best, because he taught in a student's language - the language of Love. May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace. Om Shanti.

"Tum na maano, magaar yeh hakikat hai, ek ayesaan je jarorat hai".....so song Pankaj Udhas in one of his famours ghazals. Extrapolating the poet's context to a guru-shishya relationship, R K Mishra Sir had a lot of such ayesaans on me. It all started when I was in Class 8 and my interest in Biology started to grow. After gobbling up the school books and whatever I could find in the WCPM library, I was still looking for answers. My hunt lead to MishraSir (as he was known to all of us). MishraSir was my "Google" of those days - he had all the answers. He would leave no stone unturned to make sure that I got my answers. There was no looking back since then. Both of us used to spend hours, discussing new advances in the field of genetics and the possibilities that genetic engineering opens up to humankind. We had a unique bond that went beyond any blood relationships. He nourished my intellect, chaperoned my love for genetics engineering, and mentored me for life as a professional. "Ek din tu mit jaya ga, matti ke mol, jag me rehaen jayenge pyara tere bol"....and I would like to add "....aur tere karm". RIP, Dear MishaSir - knowing that you touched a thousand lives and made a difference to all of us.

It was extremely saddening to hear about Mishra Sir. I could not gather the courage to talk to Sir's family and resorting to pen down my feeling's over here. Mishra Sir and his family are a part of our extended family. We had been neighbours for more than 25 years and have unforgettable memories of the moments shared in our lives. Our whole childhood was spent before Mishra Sir, and we know him as Mishra Uncle, Doctor Mishra and then Mishra Sir. He was gem of a person, selfless human being, loving, caring and an imparter of knowledge without expecting anything in return. For us, he was also a family doctor next door, who was just a knock away and more than ready to help. As a teacher, he was a class apart with an attitude of sharing knowledge with students. Words will not be enough to describe him.... May his soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May Almighty give all strength to Aunty, Manisha and Meenu to overcome this great loss
