I'm still so upset Dougly. There was no reason under the sun or above the moon that you were a prisoner to Covid protocol. You'd be mortified by the state of the Union. Shit show indeed. Miss you muchly!

Six years have passed without his silly wit. Missed beyond measure.

My brother Doug was to me many different things. Tormentor, protector. Educator, dictator. Authoritarian, instigator. We weathered many storms together, and flew into the sun together. He was an avid reader with a great memory for history. He traveled extensively and took me along for the ride a few times. He seemed so wise to me as his younger sister (we were the same age four days of each year). He had a tendency toward introvert most didn't witness. He carried burden most never heard. He could make me laugh and cry in the same conversation. I will miss our talks, as he was always a call away, or often on my couch! He loved his Harley Black Betty more than most people, but, if you were lucky enough to br loved by him, you had to hold on for the ride. He had friends and coworkers he spoke highly of with good reason. He had some great people in his circle. Thank you seems void. I am greatful. He had penitent. A penchant for some of the finer things in life. He loved sea food! He enjoyed making and sharing a meal and cooked well. He did most things with good intent. He had a chuckle that made me smile. I have a lot of memories to cherish, I had hoped for many more. He didn't want us to be sad as he felt he had accomplished a lot in his 60 years, I wanted more. He knew how to burn the proverbial candle. He was one of a kind. An owl sat outside my window a few nights ago staring at me, the sign I had asked for, the wise one is watching over us. I miss him, always will. Sissy- Lani
