Doris Eleanor Burns

Our dear mother Doris E. Burns, sadly passed away on July 15, 2022, at the age of 88.  She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.  Born June 7, 1934, Doris Eleanor Bilotta lived in Northeast Philadelphia.  She attended Frankford High School before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Education in 1955.  Doris was an alumna of Chi Omega for over sixty years.  She taught elementary school and retired from the School District of Philadelphia. Doris spent her retirement years living in Southern California.  She had many friends and was a well-loved community member in Oceanside, California.  Doris was predeceased by her husband John Burns and is survived by sons John, Robert, and Richard.  In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
