Dolores Marie Fonner

Dolores Marie Fonner, age 77, passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 19th, 2019, at her residence with family at her side. She was born July 7th, 1941 in Beach Bottom, WV to Charles and Edith Patterson. Dolores loved to care for others. She worked three jobs as a young woman to put herself through nursing school at St. Joseph/PCC, where she graduated in 1974. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 33 years. For many years after that, Dee worked at Kmart where she was an extremely dedicated employee. She was adored by many there. Dee is survived by her four children, Robin Fonner, Kelly Halbert, Gary Fonner, and George Fonner; grandchildren, Kathy McConnell and her husband Rocky, Chastity Duff, Amber Nelson and her husband Rodney, Heather Gordy and her husband Caleb, Faith Halbert, Damon Fonner and his wife Darcie, Jacob Fonner, Michael Fonner, Angelina Fonner, Alysia Fonner, Jackie Fonner, and George Fonner; plus her great grandchildren Aeshia McConnell, Haden McConnell, Cayden Nelson, Titus Nelson, Fenton Halbert, and Jackson Fonner. All of these she loved deeply. Dee will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving woman, a dedicated mother, a self-proclaimed food critic, rock music connoisseur, a lover of the movie The Godfather, and lastly the sweetest woman all around.
