Darren Glen Spoering
3 de septiembre de 1970 - 16 de diciembre de 2021
3 de septiembre de 1970 - 16 de diciembre de 2021
Darren was born in Aurora MO where he spent his youngest years playing on his uncle Jerry and aunt Esthers farm. He spent time with his grandparents, aunts and uncles, playing with cousins and his younger brothers. At the age of 13 his family moved to Colorado, soon settling in the small town of Firestone.
Darren graduated from Frederick Jr/Sr High school in 1989. While attending school Darren met and married his high school sweetheart Pamela Ann Ray. Darren joined the Army and completed boot camp between his junior and senior year of school, he deployed to Kuwait in January 1991 and served in Desert Storm with the 220th Military Police. Darren proudly served his country, and was honorably discharged in 1993.
Once discharged from the service Darren and Pam settled back in Firestone where they raised their three children; Glen (Ashley) Spoering, Jennifer (Drew) Gettel, and Amber Spoering. Darren worked in several different fields before settling into construction, until a stroke forced him to retire early. Darren kept busy following retirement with his hobbies, and spending time with his favorite family members, 4 grandsons and a granddaughter.
Darren is survived by his wife Pam, his three children, 5 grandchildren, mother Parila, stepfather Gary, brothers Bryan and Jamie. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene and brother Erin.
Darrens devotion to family and love of his country never faded. He was a strong supporter of our country and never wavered in his love of family and friends.

I remember meeting Darren at the church in between Frederick and Firestone. We were 12 or 13 years old. We were getting ready to go into 8th grade. I was trying to pick up a bale of hay that we were using as an obstacle course for a funday at the church. He walked over and picked it up one handed and just started moving them around all by his self. I thought this guy is such a jerk. Little did I know what a great friend he would become to me. The four of us (Joey, Darren, Tommy and I) got into some trouble together but also did some crazy fun things too. Darren was always a huge support for me through slot of stuff in my life, really from my childhood on. 38 years I’ve know Darren and I will always love him for being my friend.

Darren was such a vital part of the Fife and Drum Corp in the Longmont area. He was such an awesome leader. When I came in, he made sure I understood what was going on and how I could fit in. And he was so encouraging to me as I started making period clothing for the group. Thank you, Father God, for letting me get to know this man. Thanks that I got to be a part of the Corp while he was still there. I will never forget Darren.
