Mrs. Comfort Agbo Agogo, a trailblazing educationist, devoted public servant, and pillar of her community, passed away after a life reflecting unwavering faith, selfless service, and a commitment to excellence. Born on November 23, 1954, in the hills of Andibilla Ibilla Igede, Oju LGA, Benue State, to Late Mr. Daniel Ochuokpa Otumala and Late Mrs. Maria Onyeje Ochuokpa, she defied societal norms of her time to pursue an education, culminating in an M.Ed. in Science Education from the University of Jos in 1989. Her distinguished career included serving as the first Igede woman to attain the status of Permanent Secretary in the Benue State Civil Service (2003-2010) and the first woman to chair the Benue State Civil Service Commission (2011-2016). Mrs. Agogo was also a dedicated Christian, serving as a chorister, Sunday School teacher, and Women Fellowship Leader, and was a life member of The Gideons International. She is survived by six children, their spouses, and sixteen grandchildren. She is also survived by several brothers, sisters and cousins, nephews and nieces, and a large church community in multiple places. Her legacy as a pioneering woman, mentor, and public servant will continue to inspire generations.

One year since you left us, Aunty Agogo. Miss your radiant smile, warmth, and love. I cherish the last time I saw you in Miami in December 2023. You are forever in our hearts. Continue to rest with our Lord and Saviour!🙏

I know you have of course fulfilled your purpose on earth and your achievement is indeed a prayer of many. But who's going to fill this vacuum you have left? Your existence was a source of hope, strength and pride to us, but it has pleased the lord to take you at this time. Adieu Mummy, till we meet at the feet of Jesus on the resurrection morning.

Tribute from GOSA Benue ('69 Set) Comfort Agogo, then Comfort Ochoukpa, joined us in Gindiri for HSC in1970. She integrated very smoothly and we loved her. Comfort always had this shy sweet smile. I called Commaai and she called me Sarraai to date. We shall deeply miss her. We know she has gone home for Light and Truth. Commaai, we'll meet sooner or later. LATE MUMMY COMFORT AGOGO My heart weeps so deeply with your passing. Words feel feeble in the face of such deep sorrow, the news of your passing is not palatable at all. Though, to everything, there is a season, and when God calls His' no one should ask questions...... But the thought of not seeing you again till eternity is another pain to live with. Dearest Mummy, as you journey home wrapped in the same bond of love that all gave us strength. Your departure has left behind a silence that echoes loudly in our hearts. Your words of encouragement, rebuke, love, gifts and care even on your hospital bed will sure remain with us for the rest of our lives.... The children will sure miss the "Daily Milk" a devotional that has indeed contributed richly to their spiritual growth. I'm sure you are being rewarded by Our creator for such great impact. Thank you and Goodnight Mummy, till we meet on resurrection morning. My deepest sympathy to the entire Agogo's Jude Isaac and family.
