A LIFE OF FASHION
Dad spent most of his life working in the fashion industry. No matter how terrible he felt, he always wore a colourful, freshly pressed shirt to any appointment or whenever he saw someone. He always commented on how much he loved colour and wanted this event to be a celebration and not a sombre event. Therefore we ask you to wear colour to the funeral rather than black, if you feel comfortable doing so. We know Dad would appreciate it.

We ask that in lieu of flowers you provide a donation to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) - a charity Dad would donate to every year. The link to make a donation is below.

ORDER OF SERVICE
Dad asked for a simple casket so to jazz it up, there will be textas to write messages to dad on his coffin from 12pm. Please arrive early and let the team from Natural Grace that you've arrived early to write some wishes on the coffin. We'd love to make it look as colourful and pretty as possible. 

MEMORIES + PHOTOS
We'd love to hear all your stories and memories of Dad and see any photos or videos you may have. Please head to profile and leave a 'tribute' message with any photos or videos you wish to upload. Anything we receive before Monday may be used in the slide shows. 

LIVE STREAM

Streaming will commence 15minutes prior to the start time of the service, and once the service has completed, we will post a copy which can be viewed at any time.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE / WAKE / AFTER PARTY 
We will continue the celebrations after the funeral, at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club where we hope to see you all to catch up, share stories and a glass of champagne for dad.

Funeral to Celebrate | Chris Shaw

Join us for champagne, tea and coffee and canapés at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club. A tribute to Dads love for sailing and his fondness for the beach. He spent many afternoon's at the Yacht Club having a coffee with friends after a long walk. Together we hope to bring lots of laughter, stories and connection for Dad.

On 19 May 2022, surrounded by family, Chris "Kip" Shaw, passed away peacefully.
Dad was our family's rock and the cornerstone to so many wonderful and fulfilling relationships. We are in awe of the life that Dad lived throughout his 70 years. From cycling and sailing, to adventures overseas with mum, throwing himself into board roles at Bendigo Bank and Griefline and teaching us the importance of good, healthy food.
He loved his family, the Beaumaris concourse, his bike, chats and chai with friends, gardening and reading. A man with many hobbies and lots of great stories.
We want to hear your stories and meet all the wonderful people who had an impact on Dad's life. Please feel free to share your messages, memories and photos below and join us to celebrate our wonderful Dad.
