Only just found this space. Sorry I missed all the memorials etc. Can't help but feel sorry for god/goddess trying to cope with Chris/Paddy and Joe Townsley hanging out together in what ever heavenly bar they find ...

Only today I found out you were gone and my heart is broken. We had so much fun and shared so many good times spanning decades. You will always remain in my heart. To Daniel and Bernie and the whanau I am so sorry for your loss. Until we meet again.

A day or two ago I was looking through a box of letters and cards that my mother had kept over the years from mainly her four sons, but also a few other people. This was mainly from the late 70's and into the 1980s before we had cell phones, internet etc. The picture shows a page and a half of quite a long letter I had written to mum in October 1982. I was on holiday working on a mates farm out of the city. At this time, I was still flatting with Chris in Wellington, and my letter to Mum explains how Paddy went to the States for the first time. Of course, when he got there, I then started receiving collect phone calls in the middle of the night that invariably went on for an hour or so...such great memories to look back on. After rediscovering this old letter, my daughter came home from town saying that she had just been past a busker in town that day who was strumming and singing "Seven Spanish Angels"...of course that brought back more memories. I certainly miss him but have enjoyed reading all these memories too. Thanks to Bernie for setting up the Mykeeper page and I hope you all keep adding to it....

Sadly an online search of Paddys name yesterday led me to here...as I had no response to my messages to him, and our last chat on the phone was in September. Paddy was a very special friend to me since we first met in 2008. We worked hard and played hard, and would catch up regularly, We last caught up in March when I was in Sydney when we watched The Banshees of Inisherin together, and drank many bottles of Prosecco afterwards!! Absolutley loved this man and very sad to have missed his memorial. Every catch up was filled with fun and laughter. This photo is from one of our work nights out with the crew back in the day! Lovely to see all the memories of him, thanks for sharing. Paddy, love ya mate, xo.
