My mother Catherine Snow passed away peacefully in her sleep and died after almost 6 years of having ALS. Catherine or Cathy was a warrior in all ways of life and she passed still, so strong. From when I was born, she poured her entire life into me. She stayed home and helped to raise me into truly a wonderful daughter (as she told me every day) but more like a twin of her. In so many ways I carry her presence still in my life, and I always will. My mom taught me how to bake, how to cook along with my father, how to have patience, how to stay calm. She was a shining light in my life and also to everyone she met. She was always spoken about as a ray of sunshine, a bright loving smile, a positive saying, a kind compliment...she was truly the kindest person I will ever know.

One of 3 sisters, my mom was the youngest of them all. After graduating high school Cathy went on to be a flight attendant for about 11 years with Eastern Airlines. She loved to travel all over and experience all of the things life had to offer her. She married my father, whom she met on a blind date...wild I know! She worked for the Defense Supply Center in Philly then made a persevering daily commute to New York City, a city she once lived in and love, to work at CBRE. Once she was diagnosed with ALS, we were thankful to know it started in her foot, which was indeed a sign of slow progression. Two summers ago my mom and dad moved to Elizabethtown, PA in Lancaster County. A stunning place this county is, and I wish she got to explore more of it. With being less than 10 minutes from my home, I was able to visit my mother about 4-5 times a week especially when things started to quickly decline. My husband Daniel she loved like a son, and he would visit her and help me to help keep her smiling and laughing along.

I don't want you to remember her for the disease that she had, I want you to remember her for all that she was before that. The shining light, the kind soul, the huge heart, the stunning beauty. The person that would do anything to comfort you, and help you in any way she could. Still, I can feel her wherever I go, her spirit is so strong it truly feels like an immense and never-ending hug. I will cherish this feeling until I meet her one day when it is my time. I imagine she is floating on a cloud...with kitties hopefully, peeking over the edge and watching over me, over all of us.

Thank you to all that loved Catherine Menton-Snow, she appreciated and loved every one of you. Thank you for helping to forever keep her memory alive.

I met Cathy when we were 14 yrs old at her Grandmother’s and my Great Grandmother’s Funeral, Rosa Bruck. We both were so surprised to be cousins and not know each other until that day. She was so very kind and so very beautiful. I am truly so very sorry for your loss. May she Rest In Peace. And God Bless you Chelsea and Brian.

I dated Chelsea for a bit in college and some of my fondest memories of that time of my life were when I was visiting with Cathy. Even though Chelsea and I were young and dumb Cathy always treated me like family and I will always cherish those moments. Some of my favorite highlights were our bond over our love of cats and her teaching me some of her amazing recipes. As soon as I met Cathy I knew exactly where Chelsea got her sweet soul from. Chelsea, you are a spitting image of your mother and I know damn well she is proud of you; We are all proud of you. You've grown into such a lovely human being over the years and your mother's personality and character will live on forever through you <3

Rest In Peace Ms. Catherine, I cherish the memories of the fun times we had together. While we only worked together a few years in NYC she truly touched my heart. We enjoyed many lunches together and shared many stories about our daughters, we also shared our love for cats and accessories. She was strong, super smart, witty and loads of energy. She always tries to get me to eat clean and healthy and loved to walk it he streets of NYC. Blessings to all of Catherine’s family, May god sent you strength through this time.

My Angel Catherine was a beautiful person inside and out, her warmth and caring was immense. We shared so many memories of our families. I admired how she took care everyone especially Chelsea. When Catherine became stricken with ALS all she said to me (as we cried together) was she wanted to live long enough to see Chelsea married. Thank you for taking GREAT care of Mom Chelsea ... your Angel

Cathy was beautiful inside and out. I was lucky to have been her classmate at Marquette high school in Ottawa, Illinois. She was loved by everyone. May she rest in peace.
