It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of our father, grandfather, husband, and friend, Carl Kiernan. This man and his life has taught us to strive for our very best always, care for and do for others, find love and life among family and friends, and never give up or stop trying something new. You will be missed dearly. So many others have experienced his friendship, hospitality, and spirit over the years. We hope that these qualities and other gifts and moments will continue to guide and remain with you on your journey. Rest in peace.

Aunt Barb and family... I am so very sorry for your loss! I just remember my godfather as being a fun loving, kind man. Always seemed to have a smile and a wonderful laugh. And he was always up for a good game of cards! I’m sure they’re having a blast in heaven! May god bless you all and comfort you. You are all in my prayers.

Barb and family, We saw Carl's obituary in our newspaper this morning. We last saw each other at a high school reunion in Dubuque. Carl was not only a classmate and a friend and neighbor, also a cousin. I have lots of memories over the years, and overall remember Carl as a good and caring man. Carl--What can I say that some of the boys have already said. There were a bunch of us living within 2 blocks of each other and spending 13 years of school together. I am not sure when I spoke to him last and I am sadden for your loss. God Bless You the family.

My dad volunteered for everything. Little league baseball coach, Cub Scout President and the local fire department to name a few. Definitely a do it yourself kind of guy.
